Before placing your flowers in a vase, cut about an inch off the stems at an angle. This helps with water absorption and ensures the flowers stay hydrated.

3. Remove Foliage:
Remove any foliage that will be submerged in water. Leaves can promote bacterial growth, causing flowers to deteriorate more quickly.

4. Placement:
Find a spot away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and drafts to display your flowers. Direct sunlight can cause their vibrant colors to fade, and extreme temperatures can speed up wilting.

5. Temperature:
Maintaining a cool temperature in the room can extend the life of your flowers. Aim for around 65-72°F (18-22°C). Avoid placing flowers near fruit, as ripening fruits produce ethylene gas, which accelerates flower aging.

6. Refresh Water and Trim:
Every two days, refresh the water in the vase and trim about half an inch off the stems to remove any blocked parts. This will ensure proper hydration and prolong their freshness.

7. Flower Food:
If flower food is provided, follow the instructions and add it to the water. Flower food contains essential nutrients that help nourish the flowers and preserve their beauty.

8. Flower Arrangement:
If you want to rearrange or change the water, handle your flowers with care to prevent bruising or damaging the delicate petals or stems.
